OUR HISTORY
Our history, we build brands.
Kubus Sports has been building brands and products since day one. The most beautiful product of this is still visible on tens of thousands sailboats worldwide, our vane. Not only does the vane indicate the wind, it is an example of how inventiveness and building successful products leads to premium brands in a premium environment.
FUN SPORTS
In the 1980’s, windsurfing developed and Kubus Sports built several brands and products that are premium brands to this day, such as Prolimit and STX. Brands such as Naish, O’Brien and RedBull Spect have been added and expanded into premium brands in their segment.
WINTERSPORT
In addition to Water sports and Fun sports, Kubus Sports has entered the SNOW market by adding the brands Elan, Nitro and Giro, which have also been expanded into absolute A brands. With the feet more and more firmly in the snow in the ski and snowboard industry, Kubus Sports has selected and added brands to the portfolio that further strengthen the product range. The Winter sports brands GIRO goggles, Roxa ski boots, Level gloves, Komperdell and RedBull Spect are now available in all winter sports specialist stores, large or small, in the Benelux.
HOCKEY
Field Hockey, a premium sport, was added to the portfolio by Kubus Sports in 2006 with the acquisition of the Brabo Hockey brand and the following year Brabo Foam products, the producer of Brabo legguards. Building brands is no stranger to us. A new market, new customers and challenges with the knowledge of product management. By adding Shockdoctor in 2007, Kubus Sports completes the accessories line with premium mouthguards.
The Princess Hockey brand was acquired in 2019, which means that we appeal to an even wider hockey audience and are market leader in the Benelux with all three brands. Our hockey brands are now available in more than 30 countries.
WATERSPORT
The basis of Kubus Sports has been further strengthened with water sports brands that are premium in their niche. Rouchette, Crewsaver and Zhik haven been added to the portfolio. With these brands we have considerably expanded our water sports portfolio.
In 2021 Kubus Sports started with ATOM triathlon, premium Triathlon wetsuits, and we introduced Brabo Padel. The padel market is growing rapidly and offers many challenges and opportunities.
In 2022 we introduced OHANA. The Hawaiian word for family has thus become a brand for water sports products for families. Stand up paddle with kayak applications and in the future a further expansion of our OHANA family.
